Corsair has just announced its latest addition to the line of rugged flash drives but this time they have taken a step forward and released a USB 3.0 backward compatible rugged flash drive called the Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 flash drive. Although this is not as rugged as the LaCie XtremKey Flash drive but it certainly is the cheapest rugged USB 3.0 flash drive to date. Some of the specifications have been highlighted below.
The Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 Flash drive comes in an attractive looking rubber housing making it not only shockproof but also water-resistant to some extent. The good thing is that the Crosair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 flash drive is also backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 allowing it to be used on any USB port. This rugged USB 3.0 flash drive is also plug and play and is compatible with most of the operating systems to date.
Starting from April 2011, the Corsair Flash Voyager USB 3.0 flash drive will be available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB sizes for price of $19.99, $29.99 and $69.99 respectively.
