The MIT Robotic Cheetah Has Over 10MPH Top Speed
You might have heard in the news that a robotic cat has been in the works and it turned out to be an electric robotic cheetah made in MIT. Note that this is not the first time we are seeing working robots of four-legged animal but so far this is the most efficient one that runs on electric power i.e. batteries.
According to the team behind the Robotic Cheetah, their cheetah is capable of reaching speeds over 10MPH and also has the capability of jumping over objects that are over 33 cm tall.
The demo video below shows how smooth the robotic cheetah runs and walks employing the same bio-mechanics that is used in the real world.
