LaCie is going to introduced Rugged Mini Hard Drive which is an improved version of its predecessor. The device will be available in two versions 500GB and 1TB, besides providing huge storage capacity the drive is made faster and rugged to protect it from any damage.

LaCie’s Rugged Mini Hard Drive comes with protective sleeves which prevent it from any physical damage. In addition with this the drive also provides password security for the files when access on another system. It is made faster as it transfer files via USB 3.0 but it also made compatible to USB 2.0, it has ability to transfer HD file within 3 minutes, 1000 MP3 music files in 42 seconds, or 2,000 photos in about one minute.
As far as its availability is concerned, the 500 GB version is priced at $119.99 while 1TB costs $159.99.
