Improved Solar Panel Efficiency Says The Korean Team
According to recent tests carried out by research team in Korea, sources confirm that more efficient solar panels can be designed. This is due to the result of new formula created utilizing perovskite which is an inexpensive mineral found is abundance.
The research work was carried out in Korean Research Institute of Chemical Technology and Sungkyunkwan University. After several attempts, they were able to find optimum efficiency level for solar cells which is stated to be 17.9% which is considered to be quite remarkable advancement.
So what does this all mean to the consumers? Well the bigger picture is that solar panels will be able to produce more electric charge for the same surface area. It is also worth mentioning here that this is not the first time scientists have attempted to improve silicon solar cell design.
