We just verified that Cannon has released its newest digital camera the PowerShot SD4000 also named as IXUS 300HS in Europe. Not surprising, Cannon has kept everything quite compact as the PowerShot SD4000 only weighs 175 g and measures 100x54x23mm only.

This time Cannon has emphasized more on improving image quality for in-motion pictures and also for low light conditions. This PowerShot SD4000 has a 10 Mega Pixel lens that can take photos at a maximum resolution of 3648×2736. The Cannon IXUS 300HS has a back-illuminated CMOS sensor that improves picture quality especially in low light conditions. The Cannon PowerShot SD4000 has a 4x digital zoom and 3.8x optical zoom.
