Archival Dics Will Store 300GB to 1TB Data Says Sony & Panasonic
Sony and Panasonic have announced a new format in terms of optical storage, the Archival Disc. The new standard in the form of Archival Disc is aimed for long-term storage while keeping the form factor and cost per TB of data as low as possible.
The Archival Disc when introduced will be able to store from 300GB to 1TB of data. Storing 1TB of data on these discs sound a lot more convenient as compared to storing it on regular hard drives.
We can expect the Archival Disc from Summer 2015 but we can only believe the 1TB disc when we see it in action.
