The picture above is of a new Chinese smartphone, the ZTE Geek U988S, screenshot of which were officially shared after a series of events that led to leaking some vital information regarding hardware specifications some of which turned out to be true.
For those of you wondering what lies under the red skin is an all-time anticipated Nvidia Tegra 4 Quad-core processor rated at 1.8GHz along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has a 5″ touchscreen display with full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution which is nice to have for a 5″ device.
The front camera is just 2.0 MP while rear facing camera is 8.0 MP. I was a bit let down by the fact that the new ZTE Geek U988S only works with TD-SCDMA network which China Mobile is using only in China. They need to make a GSM variant of the same device if they have any interest in targeting it the global market.
