Nokia Unveils Nokia X, X+ and XL : X Family Android Phones

Nokia has finally released its own version of Android phones in the form of the Nokia X family handsets containing Nokia X, Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL Android phones. All these new handsets have very minor differences in terms of screen size, storage, memory etc.

The new Nokia X family Android phones are considered budget phones and fall somewhere between the Nokia Asha and Lumia series in terms of both functionality and cost. The Nokia X and Nokia X+ phone both have 4.0 inch display while the later having slightly more memory. Both have 4GB internal storage, mciroSD card slot and a 3MP camera.

On the other hand, the Nokia XL Android phone packs 5-inch display with 5MP rear camera and a 3MP front camera. The Nokia X family Android phones share the 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and will be running Android 4.1.2 OS under Nokia’s own interface. None of these phones will have Google play out of the box.

The Nokia X, Nokia X+ and Nokia XL phones will have retail price of 89 Euros, 99 Euros and 109 Euros respectively. These will be made available in regions other than North America, Korea and Japan. Available in U.S. via Amazon (details here).
