Acer has just revealed another Android smartphone, the Acer Iconia Smart, which is a 4.8 inch Android phone. Acer unveiled Acer Iconia Smart at the MWC 2011 which is currently in progress in Spain. It has a large screen which is almost the size as a 5 inch tablet. The Iconia Smart smartphone is powered by the renowned Snapdragon processor of 1Ghz. Other main features are highlighted below.

Due to the fact that Acer Iconia Smart has a 4.8” screen, it is slightly bigger than usual smartphones measuring 64.5mm wide and having an aspect ratio of 21:9 which is a plus for smartphones. This also reminds us of the 5 Inch Dell Streak Tablet. The touch screen has multi-touch capability and has a resolution of 1024×480. There is a rear camera of 8 mega pixel along with LED flash light. The Acer Iconia Smart samrtphone has Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) and we have no information if it will receive a Honeycomb (Android 3.0) upgrade in future.

Other features of the Acer Iconia Smart Smartphone include integrated GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HSDPA 14.4Mbps, motion sensors, HDMI out etc. It also has a 2 mega pixel front facing camera for making video calls. Acer claims that the Iconia Smart Android smartphone has a talktime of up to 8 hours on 3G and up to 500 hours in standby. Acer Iconia Smart Android Smartphone is expected to be released in May 2011 and no information on price has yet been released.
