AMD has officially released its latest graphics card, the AMD Radeon R9 290X. It is overall a gaming giant with very high end specifications designed to support 4K graphics without any hiccups.
The new AMD Radeon R9 290X has 2,816 stream processors and up to 1GHz CPU clock speed. It packs up to 4GB GDDR5 memory that is meant to run at a clock speed of up to 5.0 Gbps. The 290X has a memory bandwidth of 320GB/s and can handle all the games released to date at highest details and that as well very smoothly.
The AMD Radeon R9 290X graphics card is not for the faint hearted and is selling at a retail price of $549 (see details) with the previous model i.e. 280X being sold at just $299.
