We have seen in the past, the Zoom H4n digital recorder, which can only record audio but this time Samsontech has decided that people want to record video along with audio so they created the Zoom Q3HD 1080p recorder which can record HD video at 720p or 1080p at 60fps or 30 fps respectively.
The Zoom Q3HD 1080p digital recorder has more or less the same condenser microphone design in 120 degree X/Y configuration. If is capable of recording HD video. It has a memory card slot which can increase its memory up to 32GB which is good enough for recording up to 7 hours of 720p HD videos. The Zoom Q3HD has a 2.4 inch LCD display plus a 4x digital zoom. The recorded videos are in MPEG-4 and MOV format. The recorder only uses 2 x AA batteries and can be connected to any USB 2.0 port to transfer recorded media to computer and other devices.
The Zoom Q3HD is compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems. It has a TV-out jack along with HDMI out jack as well. The recorded media can be watched on any HDTV. The Zoom Q3HD recorder will be available in the market very soon with the same $299 price tag.
