In a recent press release, Samsung has just announced its latest and most sturdy series of memory cards, the Samsung EVO Plus and Samsung PRO Plus. Samsung indicates that due to significant increase in devices supporting 4K quality recording, it is a need of time to have a reliable flash memory that will not let you down.
The New Samsung EVO Plus and PRO Plus memory cards are waterproof, shockproof, temperature, X-ray, magnetic resistant and will continue to perform if even submerged in seawater for up to 72 hours.
Both the EVO Plus and PRO Plus memory cards are available in SD and microSD form factors.
The EVO Plus memory cards are aimed towards smartphone and tablet users and can support read and write speeds of up to 80MB/s and 20MB/s. While the PRO Plus cards are meant to be used by professional photography folks and these support read and write speeds of up to 95MB/s and 90MB/s respectively.
The PRO Plus series will be made available in 32GB and 64GB size while the EVO Plus memory card will be available in 32GB ,64GB and 128GB sizes. These memory cards will be available of the shelf later this month starting from US, Europe, China and Korea.
