A Japanese based company, Nissho Electronics has just released another 3D HDTV, the BDL5231V3D, which is a 52 inch 3D HDTV manufactured by Dimenco that does not require 3D glasses to view 3D content. The 52 inch 3D HDTV is not the slimmest of HDTVs but packs some decent features, some of which have been highlighted below.
The new Dimenco BDL5231V3D has FULL HD resolution of 1920×1080 and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. Other specifications include 700cd/m2 of brightness and 8ms of response time which seems fair enough for a 52 inch 3D HDTV that does not require 3D glasses to experience real 3D images. According to the press release, the 52 inch 3D HDTV support both 2D and 3D content and automatically switches between 2D/3Ddepending upon the source of content. It is also equipped with advanced Dimenco rendering core for 2D/3D display processing.
The Dimenco BDL5231V3D 53-inch 3D HDTV consumes 235 Watts of powers and does not come cheap by any means. It is available for a price of 1.7M Japanese Yen which roughly equals $20,757 USD.
