Acer Releases GN245HQ LCD Monitor with NVIDIA 3D Support and HDMI

In a recent press release from Acer, it was revealed that Acer will be releasing a 24 inch LCD Monitor, the Acer GN245HQ, which according to Acer has full 3D support by none other than NVIDIA. So if we are not wrong, you can enjoy 3D content on this monitor provided that you get one of those 3D active shutter glasses(included). Some of the main features of Acer GN245HQ monitor are highlighted below.

According to Acer, the Acer GN245HQ is the first 3D monitor to support the HDMI 3D solution from the big player, NVIDIA. This will allow users to enjoy stereoscopic images right from their desktop. This LCD monitor is particularly designed for gamers and 3D multimedia purpose. These are paired with the NVIDIA 3D glasses which are included with these LCD monitors.

The Acer GN245HQ 24” 3D Monitor has a contrast ratio of 100,000,000:1 which yields stunning picture quality along with FULL HD 1920×1080 resolution on its 23.6” LED backlit panel. It has a 16:9 aspect ratio which is suitable for watching movies. The new Acer 3D monitor has a response time of 2ms.

The Acer GN245HQ 3D LCD Monitor will be made available in March 2011 with a suggested price of £419.99 (inc VAT).
