Today Cisco has announced its new addition to the video conferencing gadget, Cisco Cius. Cius is a 7-inch touchscreen Android powered Tablet. The Cisco Cius is capable of HD video streaming plus real-time video conferencing as well as multi-party video conferencing including abilities to email, messaging, browsing etc
The Cisco Cius weighs only 1.15 lbs for making mobile computing as well as video conferencing more convenient than ever. This Cisco tablet has a 5.0 mega pixel rear facing camera. Other features include support for Wi-Fi, 3G/4G as well as Bluetooth 3.0. This Cisco Cius tablet runs Android operating system and has a support for both HD video as well as HD audio. This device has a detachable as well as serviceable 8-hour battery that is enough for a full day of work.
The Ciso Cius 7-inch display tablet also features a 30 frames per second (fps) front mounted 720p HD camera for making video calls. The tablet can even be mounted on a docking station as pictured above. Cisco will be releasing the Cius tablet in 2011 and no further detail on pricing has yet been revealed by Cisco .
