VelociRaptor is the code name for the new 2.5” 1TB HDD by Western Digital that runs at 10,000 RPM and is suitable for both notebooks and desktop computers. The Western Digital VelociRaptor comes with its integrated heat sink to keep it cool while running and supports SATA 6.0 Gbps interface. The HDD also has a 64MB cache. It is available in 250GB, 500GB and 1TB sizes with prices $159.99, $209.99 and $319.99 respectively. The price is of course a bit high due to high RPM which is usually preferred these days.
