Well the title says it all. Toshiba has just introduced a new 2.5” form factor USB 3.0 external hard drives by the name Toshiba STOR.E Edition hard drive. These come in different colors as shown below and will of course be backward compatible with USB 2.0 systems. These new USB 3.0 external hard drives are also loaded with some handy backup software. Some of the main specifications of the new Toshiba STOR.E Edition hard drives have been mentioned below.

The new Toshiba STOR.E Edition USB 3.0 external hard drives measure as small as 117mm x 79mm x 14mm and weigh as low as 154g. These USB 3.0 external hard drives have maximum data transfer rates up to 5.0 Gbps. According to Toshiba, the STOR.E Edition hard drives will be available in 500GB, 750GB and 1TB capacities. These are supported by Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems. There is no word on Mac compatibility but we assume that it is also compatible with Mac systems.
The new Toshiba STOR.E Edition USB 3.0 external hard drives come loaded with Nero BackitUp & Burn Essentials software. It is a Plug ’n’ Play external hard drive enclosed in a robust casing with attractive looking grooved texture. Toshiba is yet to announce the price and release date of the new STOR.E Edition series USB 3.0 hard drives.
