Seagate Introduces The New 8TB HDD At Cheapest Rate

Seagate a renowned name in producing HDD has recently announced its highest capacity hard drive at the most cheapest rate. The drive is based on SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) technology that allows more data to store on the disk without increasing the size. Though the speed is not comparable with the latest SSDs but the most interesting point of this new 8TB Seagate HDD is its price, which is under $300. Therefore, it means that from today you don’t even need to spend thousands of dollars for getting high capacity hard drives.

Seagate has just started its shipping to retailers only in bulk and retailers will start shipping in January 2015. Right now Amazon is offering the 20-pack of this 8TB Seagate HDD at price of $ 5,336, which will be available by 11 January 2015.
