Samsung GalaxyTab 10.1

It will be a second Android tablet from Samsung which has just received the FCC approval. The new Samsung galaxy Tab 10.1 will run on android 3.0 Honeycomb and is made compatible with all US networks as it has support of GSM 850 and 1900 MHz spectrum.

It is necessary to make a clarification here that the model number of 10.1 Galaxy tab which is presented at FCC was named as P7000 but it is listed by the manufacturer as P7100; both are same. The 10.1 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab is designed with:

  • 10.1-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution
  • 1 GHz dual-core processor
  • 8-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash
  • 16GB and 32GB of internal memory

According to Samsung’s executive VP of mobile division Lee Don-joo, the price will be expected to drop down from its introductory price as its main competitor iPad is available in market at much cheaper rate. However, pricing information is yet to disclose and will hopefully available in US stores in this month of March.
