NVIDIA, one of the top brands that produces some really impressive line of multimedia hardware specially graphics card, has finally announced its new graphics card, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 that will give a really hard time to other manufacturers as it has a very low price and is a lot cheaper than the new ASUS Ares graphics card.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 comes in two versions, one with 1GB GDDR5 memory while the other has 768 MB GDDR5 graphics memory. The GeForce GTX 460 has 336 CUDA cores and has a processor clock speed of 1350 MHz. The graphics clock is rated at 675 MHz. To be able to use the new NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 graphics card, you need to have at least a 450 Watts system power supply. The card itself has a maximum power rating of 160 Watts.
The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 has OpenGL 4.0 support and has a maximum VGA resolution of 2048×1536, tough the maximum digital resolution is 2560×1600. This graphics card has multi-monitor support along with HDMI, HDCP etc. It has two dual link DVI and a mini HDMI connectors as well. NVIDIA has set the price of GeForce GTX 460 at almost $200 and it is currently available at Amazon.com on pre-order.
