New Nook tablet was scheduled to be announced on November 7th but the details are leaked few days earlier. Barnes and Noble claimed that it would be the tough competitor against the Kindle Fire with respect to speed, storage capacity, compact size, light weight and many more. In the leaked documents Barnes and Noble showed the comparison between the two tablets and leave on the reader to judge.
Though the new Nook Tablet has more or less same feature as in its previous version but this is slightly ahead in the sense that it has faster processing unit, larger built-in memory, compact size, etc. According to the report the tablet comprise of:
- 7-inch VividView IPS display
- 1.2 GHz dual-core Texas Instruments OMAP4 processor
- 1 GB RAM
- In addition with 16GB of internal storage expendable memory of 32GB (microSD card slot)
- 4 hours of video playback (with WiFi ON) or 8 hours off
The new Nook Tablet measures 0.02 inches thin weighs 0.9 ounces and it comes with free Nook in-store support. On its HD screen you can only enjoy watching movies, TV shows, and music with Netflis, Hulus Plus, Pandora and more. Its huge memory can able to store 10,000 books more than previous Nook Color and Kindle Fire. The new Nook tablet will be officially announced on November 7th with preorders and it will hopefully start shipping from November 16th whereas it will reach to the stores on 15th of this month at price of $249.
