Motorola has just revealed of what is being called a potential iPad replacement, the Motorola XOOM Tablet featuring the most anticipated Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS and powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor manufacturer of which has not yet been revealed by Motorola. Motorola XOOM Tablet is a 10.1” Android tablet that features Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) OS and is being called an HD tablet capable of recording 720p (HD) videos with the help of a 5.0 mega pixel rear facing camera. There is also a 2.0 mega pixel front faced camera which comes in handy for making video calls. Other features include integrated gyro, e-compass, accelerometer, barometer, Wi-Fi, mobile Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 5 devices, 4G LTE mobile broadband support etc.

The Motorola XOOM is designed to handle 1080p HD (high definition) video content and unlike iPad, it supports Flash content. It also has couple of ports including an HDMI out for connecting to bigger display. It also seems like though Motorola XOOM tablet will be released through Verizon. Detailed set of features and specifications are yet to be released by Motorola. No information on price and exact availability was found at the time of writing.
