Kogan Released First Chrome Notebook

Kogan, an Australian manufacturer not much known worldwide is now become the first vender to introduce Chrome Operating System based Notebook that has designed with Intel architecture. The notebook named as Kogan Agora start shipping from 7th June 2011 and it can compete in the laptop market against Samsung and Acer brands.

The hardware specs are quite common as in general laptops that include:

  • 11.6″ display
  • 1.3GHz Celeron M ULV (ultra-low voltage) CPU
  • 1GB RAM (expandable up to 4GB)
  • 30GB SSD
  • Trio of USB ports
  • HDMI port
  • Memory card reader
  • 1.3-megapixel webcam
  • WiFi and Ethernet connectivity

The Kogan Agora is available for pre-orders in Australia and UK at price of AUD349 and it starts shipping form 7th June.
