Kingston has just announced its new line of solid state drives, the Kingston SSDNow KC300 SSDs. According to the press release, the SSDNow series SSDs are for both business and home users designed to be more efficient and less power hungry. The 2.5″ Kingston SSDs have SATA 6.0 Gbps interface and pack SandForce SF-2281 controller. The drives have MTBF of 1 million hours, read and write speeds of up to 525MB/s and 500MB/s respectively and maximum random read and write IOPs of 84K and 62K respectively.
The new Kingston SSDNow KC300 SSDs will be made available in 60GB, 120GB, 180GB, 240GB and 480GB capacity with price and release rate yet to be announced. It is shipping via Amazon (see details).
