Intel Compute Stick Turns HDMI Display To Windows 8.1 Machine

Intel has just revealed of what it calls the Intel Compute Stick. Just like those HDMI dongles out there having fully functional Android computer, the Intel compute stick more or less has the same thing under the shell.

The Intel compute stick is powered by quad core Intel Atom processor running on Intel Bay Trail-T architecture along with ample 2GB of DDR3 RAM. Internal storage is 32GB while other specifications include regular USB port, mini USB port, HDMI, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, micro SD card slot etc.

The Intel compute stick with the above configuration will come with Windows 8.1 operating system pre-installed while if you are interested in running Linux on it then there is a good news for you too. Intel has a Linux variant of the Compute stick having 1GB RAM and only 8GB of internal storage.

The compute stick when released will have a price tag of $149 and $89 for Windows 8.1 and Linux respectively.
