HP x86 Windows 8 Tablet For Professionals



News coming from some authentic sources that Hewlett-Packard is now planning to launch its Windows 8 Tablet for professional and business class based on x86 system rather than ARM based systems which are mainly used in today’s tablets.

According to the news HP claimed that the tablet design will be thinner than the iPad and will comprise of following hardware specs:

  • 10.1 inch display with Microsoft’s new touch-friendly Metro user interface
  • x86 processor
  • up to 10-hour of battery life
  • Support for digital pen and finger inputs
  • Dimension and Weight : 9.2mm thick and weighing at about 1.5 pounds

HP calling this device HP Slate 8 and have no comments on its release date and price while the picture of the tablet shown is just an early mockup for the tablet.
