Unlike other cheap netbooks, the HP mini has a longer battery life giving you uninterrupted 6+ hours of internet surfing, video chatting and many other purposes. This netbook has no optical drive which is not surprising as most of the netbooks also do not come with built-in optical drives. But you can easily attach an external optical drive which will let you install additional softwares from discs and also upgrade to Windows 7.
