It has been announced by few vendors that they are going to introduce their first Ice Cream Sandwich products in 2012 and Coby is one of them. Coby Electronics recently announced that it will rush with five Ice Cream Sandwich tablets in first quarter of 2012. Rushing with such a large quantity at one time would definitely catch the attention of customer and will hopefully grab the market.
All the five versions of Coby Android 4.0 tablets are designed with the same specs except the screen sizes which is the only way to differentiate them. The specs include:
- Capacitive multi-touch screens
- 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU
- 1GB of RAM
- up to 32GB expandable card support
- WiFi connectivity
- HDMI 1080p output
Model code names are assigned to each category of tablet with respect to their screen sizes i.e.
- 7-inches (MID7042)
- 8-inches (MID8042)
- 9-inches (MID9042)
- 9.7-inches (MID9742)
- 10-inches (MID1042)
Coby has decided to show off all these ICS tablets in the next Consumer Electronics Show which will be held in Las Vegas in January 2012. Detailed information regarding its price and availability are expected to be official at the CES 2012 show.
