Google has just revealed a HDMI stick, which is called Chromebit Dongle. This dongle makes any HDMI display to a fully functional Chromecast PC. According to Google, Chromebit would be “a perfect upgrade” for an existing and would be better for organizations and schools.

The Chromebit comes with Google’s Cloud based operating system which can easily provide Chromecast environment when is connected to a system. It also needs to connect to the Internet all the time, as it has to communicate to the Google’s Cloud. As far as its hardware features are concerned, it embeds:

  • ARM Mali 760 quad coreGPU
  • Rockchip 3288System-on-a-Chip
  • 2GB RAM and 16GB of eMMC storage
  • USB 2.0 port
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac
  • Smart Ready controller

Initially, Google is making an alliance with ASUS to launch its first Chromebit Dongle. It is expecting that it would be launched around this summer season and will be available for just under $100.
