Alcatel has just announced of what seems to be a cheap Android tablet running Android 4.4 KitKit OS out of the box. The new tablet is the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7 and as the name suggests, it is a 7-inch Android tablet powered by a 1.2GHz dual core processor and up to 1GB RAM.
The Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7 tablet is an entry level Android tablet because it lacks the main essence of even being called a mid-range tablet. The display resolution is just 540 x 960 pixels. The internal storage is just 4GB plus you can slide in a microSD card as well. There are two VGA cameras, one IR port, WiFi etc. The battery on the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7 is 2,840 mAh which is not a lot.
The Alcatel One Touch Pixi 7 is one of the cheapest Android 4.4 KitKat tablet with a retail price of €79 only.
