The Acer new tablet, the Acer Iconia Tab A501 will be available via AT&T starting from 18th Sept 2011. The news was already spread few months ago but we were not fully aware of what the Acer new tablet is actually capable of. According to the sources, the new Acer Iconia Tab A501 tablet will not be a true 4G device instead, it supports HSPA+ which is better than 3G but still fall short considerably as far as 4G(LTE) is concerned. The device runs Android 3.0 under Acer UI and will be able to receive Android 3.1 update via OTA(over-the-air). The Acer Iconia Tab A501 has a 10.1 inch touch screen display with HD resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It is available in 16GB/32GB storage capacities along with microSD card slot to further add up to 32GB of flash memory. The new Acer tablet is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processer along with 1GB DDR2 RAM. Other features of the Acer Iconai Tab A501 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI out, USB, gravity sensor, proximity sensor etc. The Acer Iconai Tab A501 has a 5MP rear facing and a 2MP front facing camera. The Acer Iconia Tab A501 has a price of $499 for 16GB model and $549 for 32GB model.
