Acer has just revealed a dual-boot netbook, the Acer Aspire One E100, which is an Acer Aspire One D255 based netbook meant for education market. It has been specifically designed for classrooms and comes loaded with Acer Classroom Manager Software. This is not the first netbook solution we are witnessing for classrooms as in the past we have also seen the likes of HP Mini 100e netbook and the Toshiba Classmate CM1 tablet PC that were released for the same purpose.
The Acer Aspire One E100 netbook is a 10.1 education netbook that is equipped with a battery which can last up to 8 hours. The display is LED-backlit display with resolution of 1024×600 pixels. Like other Acer Aspire One netbooks, this one is also powered by Intel Atom processor and has a RAM of 1GB DDR3. Hard drive is 250GB plus a multi-in-one media card reader for sharing files. Other features include webcam, Wi-Fi, FAST Ethernet, Bluetooth etc. The Acer Aspire One E100 education netbook is a dual-boot dual-OS netbook with both Windows 7 and Android Operating systems.
The Acer Aspire One E100 netbook will be released by Acer in collaboration with European Schoolnet.
