Sony Unveiled NEX-C3 Digital Camera and A35 DSLR Camera

Sony is going to introduce two different cameras this summer, one is continuation of NEX line series NEX-C3 and the other is DSLR A35 camera both will be launched at different dates but their announcement is made together.

NEX-C3 digital camera matches the model leaked in the second quarter of this year and its features lie between point-and-shoot and DSLR cameras. It is designed with 16.2 megapixels and a Photo Creativity interface that allows you to quickly and easily adjust the advanced settings of the shooting mode like a DSLR can shoot, hence it can be called as DSLR for non-professionals with simple interface.

The Alpha A35 is another full-HD 16.2 megapixel camera which will be the successor of A33 DSLR. It includes many improved and new features including Sony’s Translucent Mirror live-view mode and an electronic view finder and can shoot 7fps at 8.4 megapixels.

On the other hand both the cameras have 3-inch LCD screen with all the necessary features found in today’s cameras and can shoot up to 5.5 fps. As far as price and availability are concerned both cameras will be available at different prices according to the lens size as listed below

  • NEX-C3 starts shipping in July with 18-55mm kit lens for $649 while 16mm for $599 in black, silver and pink colors (black only for fixed-lens kit). There is also mention availability of updates for the NEX series and according to the press release the 30mm f/3.5 macro lens will arrive in October at price of $249 and larger external flash for $149 in August.
  • Alpha A35 will be available in August with 18-55mm kit lens for 699 and $599 for body.
