ARCHOS has just announced the successor of its gaming tablet, the GamePad 2. There are some significant improvements in the new ARCHOS GamePad 2 gaming tablet such as it packs 7 inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.
The new ARCHOS GamePad 2 gaming tablet is powered by Quad core A9 1.6GHz CPU along with a Quad core Mali 400 MP4 GPU. Other features include 2GB RAM, up to 16GB internal storage, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth, front webcam, microSD card slot etc.
The ARCHOS GamePad 2 gaming tables has two analogue thumbtacks, one directional pad, six front facing buttons and four shoulder buttons. It has built-in stereo speakers as well as HDMI out port.
Other than the above listed gaming controls, the ARCHOS GamePad 2 is a fully functional Android tablet running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and it will start shipping by the end of October for about $250.
