Back in CES 2011, Samsung has introduced its flexible AMOLED display technology and then it has been gone from the scene. News came from Samsung that it has finally found a brand to acknowledge its flexible display. Hence the display has got a Youm brand which is likely to be used in various devices of South Korean conglomerate including e-reader, a digital camera, and perhaps even a video chat system.

Samsung has certainly called its Youm as “unbreakable” device which sounds pretty wild because what would you say when  hammer is dropped over the Youm? Anyway what we got earlier in CES 2011 about this Samsung flexible display is :

  • 4.5″ display having thickness of 0.3mm
  • WVGA (800×480 pixel) resolution

Samsung has promised to bring it in 2012 but still we haven’t got any news about any device come with Youm.
