Will you be able to fork out $9000 for a robot and can perform a bunch of tricks? Your answer is probably NO and that is the only reason why Japan’s Softbank, which is the company behind this robot named Pepper, has decided that only 1000 units have been planned as there is not an awful lot of demand for such an expensive companion.

Softbank says that Pepper is able to sense human emotions and responds accordingly by playing music and in many other ways. The company also claims that when launched, the robot will be fully loaded with around 200 apps and more apps will be unlocked by simply spending time with the robot.

The Pepper emotion sensing robot is not for the faint hearted as it has a price tag of a whopping $9000 which also includes support plan along with a 3-year warranty.
