Sony First VR Headset Will Arrive In First Half Of 2016

Last year Sony revealed about its project Morpheus at the Game Developers Conference, which is a virtual reality headset particularly, designed for Sony PS4. Now Sony has announced that it will be available in market during the first half of 2016.

After wearing the Morpheus VR headset the gamer then start sensing that he physically entered into the environment rendered on its visor-like screen. Thus bringing the game to new medium of VR, and according to the Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony’s Worldwide Studios “We will deliver a VR experience that pushes boundaries of play, and ignites a passion in players. Creativity is thriving in this industry.”

Sony Morpheus VR Headset is designed with OLED display with 1080p resolution, which is able to generate images at rate of 120 frames per second. This frame rate is twice the model revealed at the Game Developers Conference last year. Moreover, the Sony VR has 18-millisecond latency, which is claimed to be indistinguishable from the way in which humans perceive the real world because the delay is even less than the user’s head movement.

Since Samsung, HTC and other renowned brands are also developing their VR headsets, therefore, the Sony officials taking this competition healthy as it brings virtual reality to our living rooms. So, let’s wait and see which brand will take over this new field of technology.
