The 100 passenger Concorde that was built earlier had two serious issues. First, it is super expensive to travel and the noise levels are very high which means the Concorde needs to fly very high to minimize noise levels experienced at earth’s surface. The good news is that Japan is about to test its own Supersonic Airplane prototype which is aimed at keeping the noise level at 1/4th to that of Concorde.

The Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd Japan has made this unmanned airplane which is about 8-meters long and weighs about a ton. The Developer Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency is preparing to conduct a test flight in August at Sweden to better understand the performance of their new supersonic technology airplane. The team behind it is very optimistic about it.
