Just a few day ago Samsung released announced the new dual-core mobile processors for mobile devices called the Samsung Orion and today ARM has made it official by announcing the ARM Cortex A15 MPCore processor. The Cortex A15 is the fourth mobile processor in the ARM Cortex-A series of mobile processors.
The ARM Cortex A15 MPCore processor is a low power, high performance processors targeting mobile devices such as tablet computers, smartphones, netbooks etc. These processors can go up to speeds of 2.5GHz and are capable of addressing memory of up to 1 TB. It is claimed by ARM that this new Cortex A15 processor will deliver five times better in terms of performance as compared to current advanced processors found in today’s smartphones.
The ARM Cortex A15 processors are will be available in single core, dual-core, quad-core, octo-core as well as in larger configuration suitable for a wide range of devices for home and professional use.
