ASUS released its first PC motion sensor earlier this year named as Xtion Motion Sensor which was inspired by Microsoft Kinect but the device didn’t get much success in comparision with Kinect due to limited operations. Now ASUS has announced its updated version of Xtion Motion Sensor as Xtion Pro Live.
The Xtion Pro live can be operated via voice signals as it has a pair of microphones to give commands. It also exhibits original’s IR and depth sensors with a Kinect-like VGA webcam with 640×480 resolution. To enhance its functions ASUS has also offered new app store for Xtion devices which provide room for developers to upload their app creations. Though its launch price is still not confirmed but it is expected that it will cost $270 which is the Kinect-like price.
