Exactly about a month ago, we had information about Amazon releasing an Android smartphone named AmazonBlaze and now sources have confirmed that Amazon will soon be releasing a Tablet in the second half of year 2011. Amazon Kindle Tablet

According to DigiTimes, Quanta will be manufacturing up to 800,000 Amazon tablets each month and it is not far when we see these new Amazon Tablets in our hands. As per sources, the new Amazon tablets will have multi-touch screen from E-Ink Holdings and Fringe Field Switching (FFS) Technology. It seems like Amazon wants to give birth to a real iPad alternate. We have great hopes with Motorola Xoom as well as the Samsung Galaxy Tab but none of them seem to gain popularity anywhere near the iPad. With millions of Amazon users and thousands having the Amazon Kindle reader, it will not be difficult for Amazon to influence the sale of its new Amazon Tablet.

No information about price, availability and specifications was found at the time of writing. We don’t even know the name of the tablet but it might probably be Amazon Kindle Tablet or something similar. So stay tuned for updates.
