World’s thinnest Smartphone Announced by NEC Casio

NEC Casio Mobile’s MEDIAS N-04C is the World’s Thinnest Smartphone ever will be going to hit the market in couple of weeks and is offered by the Japan’s biggest mobile carrier NTT Docomo. The thickness of phone is recorded as 7.7mm which is almost 0.8mm less than the previous thinnest smartphone Samsung Galaxy S II.

The NEC Casio Mobile’s MEDIAS N-04C is a 3G smartphone which is designed with the following hardware specs:

  • 4-inch LCD touchscreen with 480 x 854 resolution
  • Android 2.2
  • 5.1MP CMOS camera
  • 1 Seg digital TV tuner
  • 3G/GSM roaming
  • microSDHC card slot
  • GPS
  • Bluetooth Version 2.1+ EDR
  • Wi-Fi
  • HSUPA

The OS will be upgraded to Android 2.3 during the coming summer. The phone will be available in two colors; black and white and will hopefully reach the stores till 15th March 2011. Watch the demo video of the thinnest smartphone below which is released by Docomo.
