It is mostly suited for industrial and other rough and tough environments.
The Sonim XP1300 CORE rugged phone is submersible 2 meters in liquid for up to 30 minutes. It has hardened rubber molded to fiber glass casing that is made extra rugged by dual injection process. The operating temperature range for the Sonim XP1300 Core is -20ºC to +55ºC. The rugged phone has a shock and scratch resistant Gorilla glass screen. Sonim XP1300 Core phone features include 2 inch display, noise cancelation, LED torch, FM radio, media player, microSD slot,Bluetooth, SMS/MMS, WAP etc. The phone has support for more than 23 languages. Another thing worth mentioning is that the 1750mAh battery on this XP1300 core phone has a stand by time of up to 2 months and a talk time of up to 18 hours.
The Sonim XP1300 Core phone weighs just 185 g and measures 126x60x25 mm. The rugged phone also has MIL-810G certification for salt, fog, humidity, transport as well as thermal shock.
