The new Samsung smart phone, Samsung Galaxy Beam, the first ever phone with a pico-projector, is about to be launched on 17th July. The built-in pico-projector can project images that stretch from 5 to 50 inches. Like many other Samsung smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Beam has Android 2.1 operating system.
Other than the pico-projector from Texas Instruments, the Samsung Galaxy beam has some really impressive hardware installed for some serious smartphone fans. This phone has a 8.0 mega pixel rear camera plus a VGA (front) camera for making video calls. This phone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB 2.0 connectivity plus it also has GPS support. The display is 3.7 inch WVGA SUPER AMOLED with touchsceen feature.
The Samsung Galaxy Beam has 800 MHz of processor along with 384 RAM. The phone also has a TV-out capability for connecting it to larger displays such as HDTVs, Plasma screens etc. This smartphone is expected to be released in Singapore on 17th July for SG$398 along with contract.
