Good news for the US customers that Google owned Moto G and listed in its Google Play Store Edition. So what the Moto G was before has now been turned into a purely Stock Android 4.4 Kit-Kat device with all the android updates.
The phone is still GSM model except the difference in installed motorola softwares which are replaced by android apps and as per Google said: “The Google Play edition phones quickly receive updates of the latest Android software, and Optimized for the latest apps, more storage for your content and a fast, clean user experience all come standard.”
Moto G is priced as same as it has earlier i.e $179 for 8GB version and $199 for 16GB version but now comes with Stock Android. It is now available at Google Play store. Since technically no more details are mentioned with respect to the hardware so we expect that the Google Play edition of the Moto G should be identical in terms of hardware with the regular version.
