Immediately after Dell released multi-touch Dell HD Studio LED monitors and EIZO announced its own multi-touch FlexScan LCD monitors, ViewSonic also came into play by announcing its first multi-touch 21.5” LCD monitor, the ViewSonic VX2258wm.

ViewSonic VC2258wm has a multi-touch wide-color TFT Active matrix LCD display with optimum WUXGA resolution of 1920×1080. The monitor has static and dynamic contrast ratios of 1000:1 and 100,000:1 respectively. This ViewSonic 21.5 inch multi-touch LCD monitor has a typical response time of 5ms and brightness of 200 cd/m2. Its panel has hard coating anti-glare material. This new ViewSonic multi-touch monitor is compatible with both PC and Mac. Like other LCD monitors, this one also has 2 x 2Watts speakers with SRS Premium sound.
The ViewSonic VX2258wm 21.5” multi-touch LCD monitor weighs 13.6 lbs with stand and 10.78 lbs without stand. It consumes as low as 23 Watts in Eco-mode. It has analog RGB/VGA ports, DVI-D, 3.5mm audio in/out and USB connectors. This monitor is now available for a price of $319.99 only.
