Toshiba has just announced that it will soon be releasing high performance SDHC and SDXC memory cards. These would be called Toshiba Exceria SDHC and SDXC memory cards. The Toshiba Exceria memory cards will be available in three different series namely: Type 1, Type 2 and Type HD series. Different series correspond to different read/write speeds that are listed below.
Type 1 Series : Read @95MB/s, Write @90MB/s
Type 2 Series : Read @95MB/s, Write @60MB/s
Type HD Series : Read @90MB/s, Write @30MB/s
These new Toshiba Exceria SDHC and SDXC memory cards have full compliance with SD Memory Card Standard Ver.3.0 UHS-I. We are still waiting for the official price and release date from Toshiba so stay tuned for updates.
