Its a join venture of both Sierra Wireless to bring a new kind of hotspot in the market – the 4G LTE capable Tri-Fi Hotspot. It will be released via Sprint and thus follow its various wireless networks. The name Tri-Fi for the device is assigned on the basis of its support to Sprint’s three fast growing networks including CDMA 3G network, its WiMax 4G network, and its forthcoming LTE 4G network.

The Tri-Fi hotspot from Sierra Wireless will be the one which you never seen before not only because of its features but also its design; its body is designed in square shape similar to the puck style. As far its battery life is concerned, the Sierra Wireless 4G LTE Tri-Fi Hotspot is powered by a 3600mAh battery, which provides up to eight hours of operation time or up to eight weeks of standby time.

The Sierra Wireless Tri-Fi will be available on all sprint stores from 18th May at price of $99.99 (excluding taxes) after a $50 mail-in-rebate with a two-year service agreement. And it will join various LTE devices on its launch including the HTC EVO 4G LTE which will also release on the same date.
