The Sony VAIO S Series notebook has just risen to the surface powered by Intel 2nd generation Core i5 and i7 processors up to 3.4GHz. Premium models in the new Sony VAIO S Series laptops have extended battery life of up to 15 hours which is handy for frequent travelers. Some of the main details of the Sony VAIO S Series notebooks have been highlighted below.
The Sony VAIO S Series laptops will be powered by Intel Core i5 or i7 processor depending upon which configuration you choose. Both the processors have Turbo Boost support. RAM on these notebooks will be 4GB, upgradable up to 8GB DDR3 1333MHz. Users will have to option to have either regular hard drives up to 750GB or up to 1TB solid state drives with RAID 0. Other features of the Sony VAIO S Series notebooks include Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Bluetooth, Embedded mobile broadband on select models, HD webcam, HDMI-out, USB 3.0 port etc.
These new Sony S Series laptops will be running Windows 7 Home Premium, Profession and Ultimate 64-bit editions. Display is 13.3” LED backlight (1600×900) along with choice of GPU such as AMD Radeon HD 6470M (512MB) or AMD Radeon HD 6630 (1GB). Price of Sony VAIO S Series laptops start at $999 only.
