Sony has just unleashed its first Silicon X-tal Reflective Display (SXRD) 3D projector, the VPL-VW90ES. The Sony VPL-VW90ES is not for the light hearted as it has a very jumbo price tag of $10,000. Sony claims that with its new 3D projector line, the 3D big screen theater can be experienced without leaving your homes.

The Sony VPL-VW90ES is meant to deliver full HD (1920×1080) images with Sony’s 24p True Cinema technology. The Sony SXRD projector will deliver unmatched 3D as well as 2D high definition cinematic experience. The new Sony 3D projector utilizes single Ultra High Performance (UHP) lamp that delivers brightness of 1000 ANSI lumens. The Sony Advanced Iris 3 technology produces dynamic contrast ratio of 150,000:1.
The new Sony SXRD 3D Projector will be available in November 2010 and the good thing is that these will come equipped with a pair two active shutter 3D glasses and a built in 3D transmitter for enjoying high definition 3D content at home.
